Invensys Energy Solutions launched to provide energy management

RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 2, 2001 — Invensys Energy Solutions was recently formed to help customers manage their businesses more efficiently.

“Energy is the third largest cost in most businesses today,” said Enrique Santacana, president of Invensys Energy Solutions. “This, coupled with the actuality that most organizations can experience potential energy-related savings of as much as 20 percent, means that the bottom line impact of energy efficiency improvements can be enormous.”

Invensys Energy Solutions helps customers capture those savings by improving operations, reducing expenses, increasing the value of customers’ assets, ensuring comfort, improving productivity and mitigating the risk of power loss or poor power quality.

Further, by using energy efficiently, Invensys and its customers protect the environment from unnecessary pollutants, reduce energy waste and sustain energy resources for future generations.

Invensys Energy Solutions, headquartered in Raleigh, N.C. with operations worldwide, unites several formerly independent skill sets from within Invensys to provide solutions not previously available from any single source. The group provides these global solutions to energy providers as well as to energy consumers.

For the energy provider, Invensys delivers measurable benefits both in revenue and cash generation. This is accomplished as Invensys supplies the critical information and services necessary for the energy provider to retain and attract customers and to run businesses. Further, with this model, the energy provider is enabled to expand the scope, level of service and value-add to its customers.

For the energy consumer, Invensys analyzes all aspects of the energy relationship from consumption of energy through operations. Information serves as the backbone for a rigorous, continuous and visible management process. Actionable energy savings, comfort, safety and efficiency opportunities are then discovered and solutions are implemented to make improvements and measure and monitor the results.

Invensys Energy Solutions has special expertise to serve key industries including utilities, pharmaceuticals, health care, food services, education and government facilities.
