Ireland’s largest independent energy supply company signs agreement with


Harrogate, UK, April 29, 2004 — ICIS Technology Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Power Generation (PG), reported today that Energia, a member of the Viridian Group PLC and the largest independent supply company in Ireland signed an agreement for its Energy Management System, RetailOffice®.

Energia has deployed this Siemens Energy Business Solution to automate and manage customer load profiling, forecasting, profit and loss reporting, along with risk reporting. “The implementation of RetailOffice will add transparency to our business processes providing real-time feedback,” states Dr. Nico O’Rourke, Middle Office Manager of Viridian Energia. O’Rourke adds, “RetailOffice will integrate data sources from across the enterprise to produce an accurate and timely snapshot of Energia’s risk position. This will help us identify more business opportunities, avoid unnecessary risks, make better economic decisions, all with greater efficiency.”
