ISO load response program saves more than 100 MWh of energy during peak demand

Because of the voluntary program available to large volume energy users, the region was able to save well over 100 megawatt hours of energy over the course of one day. The program was based on RETX’s Load Management Dispatcher and used by Northeast Generation Services Company (NGS). The full energy savings for the two days where the program was activated is now being determined.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 30, 2001 – Catalytica Energy Systems, Inc. today announced that it has shipped its first commercial Xonon modules to Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. for incorporation into three M1A-13X gas turbines.
