Cinergy selects Advitium

LASCOM announced that the energy merchant business unit of Cinergy Corp. selected Advitium for its project collaboration tool initiative. Under the terms of the contract, LASCOM will automate several business processes, including engineering drawing release, vendor communication and work approval procedures.

Alabama coop expands Website

Alabama Electric Cooperative has expanded its Touchstone Energy Home Program to offer Website content, online calculators and printed material to educate consumers about home energy efficiency. Developed in conjunction with Apogee Interactive Inc., the Website content can be added to any Touchstone Energy cooperative Website, providing consumers access to more than 500 fully illustrated Web pages covering 300 different energy efficiency features and considerations.

NPCC adds to Web page

The Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC), in collaboration with its five control areas (ISO-New England, New York ISO, Hydro-Quebec TransEnergie, Independent Electricity Market Operator, and the Maritimes), has expanded its initial regional total transfer capability/available transfer capability (TTC-ATC) Web page to include data from New York. The page provides users with a single point of access to inter-area transfer capabilities.

FPL signs deal with Pantellos

Pantellos has signed a 12-month agreement with Florida Power & Light (FPL) in which the electric company will use Pantellos’ Premier Dynamic Services offering. As part of the new agreement, FPL will use the services this year to help it electronically source and procure approximately $50 million in goods and services across all of the company’s operations and business units, including power generation, nuclear, T&D, FPL Energy and FiberNet activities.

Pantellos also announced the release of version 1.2 of its RFx management offering, an Internet-based sourcing tool that automates the RFI, RFP and RFQ functions in the procurement process.

Vectren implements SCT product

Vectren Corp. will utilize SCT’s most recent version of Banner Advantage CIS to assist Vectren as it unbundles the commodity and delivery services and offers Dayton, Ohio area customers the option of picking a new gas supplier.
