Kinder Morgan, Calpine to develop natural gas pipeline to California

The interstate pipeline will be evaluated and developed in two phases, which will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The first phase will run from the San Juan Basin to the California border, with the second phase extending from the California border to the San Francisco Bay area. The first phase of the pipeline is expected to be completed in the summer of 2003.

San Francisco, CA (PG&E)– Pacific Gas and Electric Company has filed a motion in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court asking the court to direct the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) to comply with bankruptcy law, its Tariff, and a recent Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) ruling, and stop billing the utility for wholesale power purchased.
