Lumastrobe Warning Lights announces the availability of its LX-18 Series

MIDLAND PARK, N.J., April 11, 2005 — Utilizing the latest technology in lighting sources and optical design, the LX-18 uses 24 ultra bright long-life light emitting diodes (LEDs). These are arranged in a hexagonal pattern, two high and each positioned behind individual magnifying diffuser in the clear rugged polycarbonate dome, yielding a 360 degree peripheral light signal with a 30 degree effective viewing angle.

Powered by (2) D-cell batteries, the low current drain of the LED yields 350-400 hours of continuous bright triple flashes. Each unit comes with magnets (rated at 17 lb. pull) recessed in the base, or with 1-3/4″ dia. x 4″ long handle. The handle enables the unit to either be hand held or placed into the top of a standard road warning cone.

The LX-18 is ideal for marking roadway hazards, obstructions and equipment. Also used to mark accident scenes and disabled vehicles. Used by utilities, construction companies, police, fire and EMS crews.
