Massachusetts nonprofit group awards $70 million electricity deal to Select Energy

Select Energy was chosen after HEFA’s competitive bid process that requested proposals from all national and local suppliers serving the New England region. The agreement calls for Select Energy to supply up to 130 megawatts of electricity to 115 institutions whose combined electric bills (including local distribution charges) total $150 million annually.

NORTH FORT MYERS, FL, June 14, 2001 – Lee County Electric Cooperative customers will realize a substantial increase in reliability upon completion of one of the first stages of a 10-year plan to ‘loop’ the transmission supply entering LCEC’s electrical substations.
