MidAmerican Energy Targets the Competitive Ohio Market

Ohio is the fourth-largest energy market in the country behind Texas, California and Florida, with estimated annual electric revenues of $10.2 billion from 4.4 million customers and estimated annual natural gas revenues of $4.3 billion from 3.3 million customers. Customer choice for natural gas service will be available to all Ohio consumers on Nov. 1, 2000, and customer choice for electric service begins on Jan. 1, 2001.
