Moody’s: Northwest region’s energy supply situation more manageable than in California

“The credit issues facing utility companies in the Northwest today can be fairly characterized as similar to those of the California companies in terms of their nature, but not of the same magnitude in terms of their degree of potential negative impact,” writes Kevin Rose in a new Moody’s report.

DALLAS, Feb. 15, 2001 – TXU Energy Services has signed a three-year, $100 million-plus comprehensive energy management contract with Bass Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of Bass PLC [LON:BAS, NYSE:BAS (ADRs)], to provide natural gas, electric and risk management services, develop energy-efficiency improvement projects and provide consolidated billing services.
