Morgan Schaffer launches new products at DistribuTECH

Morgan Schaffer, the pioneer of Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) in North America announced today the release of its significantly enhanced multigas online DGA monitors, Calisto 501 and Calisto 901, its InsideView 5.0 diagnostic software with Fleet View and its expanded range of True North gas-in-oil standards. The launch during DistribuTECH was under the banner ONE, stressing the integration and interoperability of its product and service portfolios.

Morgan Schaffer’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Richard Bàƒ©rubàƒ©, kicked off the launch event at the Hard Rock Hotel before a crowd of industry experts and executives, explaining: “ONE is at the heart of what Morgan Schaffer does. We provide ONE solution for all your DGA and dielectric fluid testing needs. Our products are integrated and complementary. In the world of DGA, Morgan Schaffer is the ONE reference you need to know.”

First off, he presented new True North gas-in-oil standards, which are expanding to include more solutions. The full range of standards is now available in mineral oil, synthetic esters oil, silicone oil and soon also in natural esters oil. The standards are now available in a broader range of concentrations, as requested by our customers. The portfolio enables completion of full five-point calibration curves, which is vital for accurate dissolved gas analysis.

InsideView version 5.0 software packs powerful new functions to assess the status of an entire fleet of transformers and analyzes data per tank over time. InsideView 5.0 features include Fleet View, which offers a unique set of functions to assess the situation of the fleet and provides the tools you need. This allows you to evaluate, visualize and navigate critical information at fleet level. The Dashboard is a customizable interactive tool to navigate rapidly and access real-time information. Inside View Statistics is a tool that performs powerful statistical analysis of historical data.

The new Calisto 5 and Calisto 9 DGA online monitors (C501 and C901 models) have been improved via Design for Manufacturing and Assembly and proprietary R&D enhancements. Installation and commissioning is greatly simplified via factory installation of the Carrier Gas Manifold. Carrier and calibration gas lifetimes are now doubled to four years! Calisto multigas monitors now come with a choice of communication options that include optical Ethernet. Internal connections have been redesigned for robustness and reliability and version 1.6 of Calisto Manager Software comprises a significant number of operational improvements. In sum, Morgan Schaffer’s line of Calisto monitors continues to earn its reputation as the most reliable and advanced transformer DGA monitoring equipment in the industry.

Richard Bàƒ©rubàƒ© said: “Morgan Schaffer is serious about accuracy and reliability. We’re focused on making it simple and rewarding for customers who choose our products and services.   Customer needs are at the heart of our new products. To maximize customer satisfaction, we have paid particular attention to detail. This means design improvements, stringent manufacturing processes and rigorous product testing.”

2017 is set to be a very exciting year for Morgan Schaffer with its focus on accuracy and reliability across its entire range of products and services.
