Natsource executes first NOx emissions trade under EPA’s SIP call/Section 126 program

Though the new regulations still face legal challenges, they are expected to impose aggressive new emissions restrictions starting as early as 2003.

KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 8, 2001 – UtiliCorp United today filed formal documents with the Missouri Public Service Commission requesting an increase in the electric rates of its Missouri Public Service division of $11 million per year to recover system improvement costs and up to $38 million to provide the fuel to generate electricity and purchased power contracts.
