N.C. reevaluates deregulation in light of other states’ problems

GREENSBORO, N.C., Sept. 11, 2000 (Greensboro News & Record) – A legislative panel will resume its discussion this week about opening North Carolina’s electricity market to competition, with an eye on a crisis several thousand miles away.

NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2000 — NewEnergy has entered into an agreement with the Steel Service Center Institute (SSCI) to establish an energy buying pool for SSCI members. It covers approximately 170 steel producers, steel processors and steel service centers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
