New energy technology and clean environment possible according to UN report

The 450-page “World Energy Assessment: Energy and the Challenge of Sustainability” report was produced by the U.N. Development Program, the U.N. Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the World Energy Council, representing major energy suppliers.

TULSA, Okla., September 20, 2000–Tulsa may have had its roots in the energy industry, but one Tulsa firm is taking those roots high-tech, while keeping them firmly entrenched in Tulsa soil. Internet Technology Corp. (iTC), a company which pioneered an automated meter reading system known as Internet Meter Reading (IMR), is expanding into new facilities at 5311 S. 122nd E. Ave. in Tulsa, adding to the list of technology companies that are rapidly sprouting up and expanding within the metropolitan area.
