New Massachusetts Electric program offers new perks to customers on default service

The “New Choices” program is designed to jump-start the competitive retail electric marketplace by encouraging increased supplier activity and facilitating the flow of information and communication between “default service” customers and suppliers.

PITTSBURGH, July 2, 2001 — CONSOL Energy Inc. and American Electric Power (AEP) have concluded agreements, originally announced on April 30, 2001, regarding proposed coal supply agreements and the purchase of AEP’s affiliated mines in Ohio and West Virginia.
