New Power makes first market moves

New Jersey customers will be guaranteed savings of up to 15% when switching from Public Service Electric & Gas Co. (PSE&G), and Pennsylvania customers will be guaranteed savings of up to 25% when switching from Peco Energy Co., New Power said in a statement. New Power said the savings apply to the electricity portion of customers’ power bills and are based on the “price to compare'” for average annual residential bills under Rate Schedule RS for New Jersey, and Rate Schedule R for Pennsylvania.

NEWARK, Del.–The Los Angeles Convention Center is now generating its own electricity with solar panels supplied by AstroPower Inc. The Anaheim Convention Center will soon be doing the same, with the installation of a similar system this fall.
