NYPA’s Zeltmann says authority is taking on key challenges

“The Power Authority is not simply waiting to see how the electric industry shakes out in the competitive era,” Zeltmann said at the state Municipal Electric Utilities Association’s annual meeting.

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 19, 2000 – Total U.S. energy intensity (primary energy per unit of GDP) fell 42 percent between 1970 and 1999. Carbon emissions intensity (carbon emissions per unit of GDP) fell 47 percent.
