Oklahomans fear deregulation could bring California-like woes

TULSA, OK, Sep. 13, 2000 (Knight Ridder/Tribune) — Oklahoma businesses pay some of the lowest electric rates in the country, but officials of some industries fear their electric bills could skyrocket under an electric deregulation bill that was narrowly defeated in May.
