Over $6 million awarded to new public power renewable energy group in California

The Public Power Renewable Action Team (PPREAT) has established a groundbreaking collaboration including the City of Anaheim, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the City of Redding, Pasadena Water and Power, Silicon Valley Power, and many other municipal utilities in California. PPREAT will be managed by the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS), a non-profit organization in San Francisco focused on renewable energy promotion for economic and environmental sustainability.

HOUSTON, June 28, 2001 — Duke Energy announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire a 400-MW merchant generation facility from Enron North America.
