Partnerships, Mergers and Alliances

Landis & Gyr and Smallworld have formed a worldwide strategic alliance in response to growing utility-market demands. The partnership pairs Landis & Gyr`s network management systems (NMS) with Smallworld`s GIS for electric, gas and water utilities. Smallworld will license its GIS product to Landis & Gyr to be used as part of the core technology of a continuing series of integrated applications. To assure maximum flexibility for the utilities, GIS and NMS applications will be made available as either a stand-alone system, or integrated with the partner`s applications.

Enghouse Systems Ltd. has entered into an agreement with Western Resources Inc. to become a worldwide distributor of Western Resources` gas GIS product (WestarCH4). During the past five years, Western Resources has developed several applications for its natural gas and electric operations, now built on Enghouse`s core CableCad product line.
