RCM Technologies wins contract from Central Hudson Gas & Electric for engineering, design and construction services

PENNSAUKEN, N.J., Aug. 6, 2001 – RCM Technologies, Inc. announced a contract award of strategic importance from Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, a subsidiary of CH Energy Group, Inc. for engineering, design and construction support services.

RCM’s Power Systems Services Business Unit is providing engineering analysis and design, and construction support of an addition to the Modena, NY substation as well as design modifications to the East Walden, NY and Ohioville, NY substations.

The addition to the existing substation at Modena consists of two new 115 kv breakers, new 13.8 kv switchgear, transformer, new line traps, new line tuners, new relay panels, new steel structures, steel reinforced concrete foundations and new motor operated disconnects.

The design modifications and new construction to the substations will allow Central Hudson to enhance its capabilities of meeting its clients’ future energy requirements in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner.
