Refinery files to stop Wyoming electric rate increase

Coastal Chem, Inc. and the City of Cheyenne, other major customers of CLF&P, have filed similar petitions with the Commission. CLF&P, which supplies the Cheyenne Refinery’s power needs, is one of six public utility subsidiaries of Xcel Energy Inc. Through its utility operations, Xcel Energy provides power to customers in at least twelve western states and generated revenues in 2000 of almost $13 billion.

HOLYOKE, Mass., March 29, 2001 – ISO New England Inc. and PJM Interconnection, L.L.C., together with ALSTOM ESCA Corporation soon will formalize an agreement to standardize their electricity markets and possibly lead to the standardization of wholesale electricity markets across the country.
