Reliant Energy completes sale of remaining hydroelectric plants

HOUSTON, April 28, 2005 (PRNewswire-FirstCall) — Reliant Energy completed the previously announced sale of its two remaining hydroelectric generating stations for $42 million to Brascan Power, a subsidiary of Brascan Corporation.

The units, which include the Piney Station, located near Clarion, Pennsylvania, and Deep Creek Station, located in western Maryland near Oakland, have generating capacity totaling 48 megawatts.
