Richard J. Smith will become group president, utility operations for Entergy Corporation in 2002

Smith will succeed Jerry Jackson, who is beginning a transition to a planned retirement on March 1, 2003. Jackson, a senior Entergy executive for 22 years, will work with Smith to insure a smooth management transition and continue as a senior adviser to Entergy’s chief executive officer, J. Wayne Leonard.

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 17, 2001 — Datapult, LP today announced that it has signed an agreement to act as the exclusive provider of monitoring and interval meter reading services for The Power Connection Inc. (TPC), one of Ontario’s first retail energy services companies.
