A data logging software package extends the problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities of the Model 41 and 41B power harmonics analyzers. The software for Windows samples and records critical data for up to three days at a time and downloads result automatically to a text file on disk. This data can be used later to generate reports graphically or in a numeric format using either a word processing or spreadsheet application. The FlukeView 41 monitors selected points of a power distribution system to identify significant variations in voltage, current, power or harmonic distortion levels. Sample rates vary from once every 10 seconds to once an hour or longer. Date and time stamps may also be used to identify when anomalies occur. The software estimates demand profiles for specific load centers and records the percentage of total harmonic distortion along with individual harmonics levels as users vary loads or apply correction capacitors.
