Southern energy company proposes transmission agency

ATLANTA, Sept. 07, 2000 (The Atlanta Constitution) — Prodded by federal regulators, Southern Co. announced a proposal Wednesday for an independently managed agency to operate its $2.5 billion, four-state electric transmission system.
