Spain’s Endesa makes French acquisition

SNET will be partly privatized through the 2.4 billion franc deal. Endesa has the option of subsequently acquiring the 51% CdF still holds.

NEW YORK, Nov 9, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Fitch has placed its securities ratings of Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) on Rating Watch Negative and Western Resources Inc. (Western), and Kansas Gas & Electric Co. on Rating Watch Evolving following PNM’s plan to acquire the electric utility assets of Western Resources through a stock-for-stock transaction.
