Supreme Court refuses to review EPA’s PCB disposal rule

In finalizing its rule in 1998, the EPA said PCBs, used for cooling and lubricating some transformers, capacitors and other electrical equipment, are likely to pose a risk of cancer.

PORTLAND, Ore., June 1, 2001 – The Bonneville Power Administration and other federal agencies decided on June 1 to continue the current level of limited spill operations for fish passage at Bonneville, The Dalles, John Day and McNary dams.
