Synchronizing Transducer

Synchronizing Transducer

The real-time synchronizing (RTS) provides a Modbus Plus network connection to PLCs, PCs and other digital devices. The RTS transducer has the further advantage over analog transducers both on offering speeds appropriate to real-time applications and in expanded capabilities. In addition to providing the usual electrical measurements, the RTS transducer also presents the voltages and frequencies for both sides of the tie-line or the bus-tie breaker and the phase difference between both voltages. With a PLC this feature allows Sync-check and Autosync functions at a fraction of the cost of stand-alone relays. This transducer is an element switch for three-wire and four-wire instrument transformer configurations.
