Texas PUC commissioner to keynote ERCOT 2001 conference

Beginning January 1, 2002, Texans will have the power to choose their electric supplier and in June of this year, “Texas Electric Choice,” a pilot program that allows up to 5 percent of customers to choose a retail electric provider, will kick off. The conference seeks to answer such questions as how Texas’ deregulation law will differ from that of other states and how the PUCT will continue to ensure the safety and reliability of electric service?

NEW YORK, Jan. 30, 2001 — Moody’s Investors Service has withdrawn the Not Prime short-term issuer rating of California Power Exchange Corporation (CalPX).
