Texas State Energy Conservation office launches renewable energy campaign

The Texas State Energy Conservation Office’s campaign, titled “Renewable Energy – The Infinite Power of Texas,” features an award-winning Web site, www.InfinitePower.org, complete with fact sheets, lesson plans for teachers and a new video narrated by Dan Rather describing renewable energy’s potential in Texas. All the materials and the video are available for free from the Web site or by calling the campaign’s toll-free number at 800/531-5441, ext. 31796.

May 17, 2001–The national energy program announced today by President Bush is “a useful first step” toward recognizing the value of wind and other renewable energy sources, the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) said.
