U.S. Energy Systems names new independent director to board

New York, NY, Dec. 12, 2006 — U.S. Energy Systems Inc. announced that Robert Schneider, 51, has been appointed as an independent member of the company’s board of directors. Schneider has served for 20 years as a partner in a mid-sized accounting and business consulting firm.

“Bob Schneider is a great addition to our Board,” said Asher E. Fogel, USEY’s CEO. “He brings deep experience advising companies on a wide range of accounting, corporate finance, governance and tax issues.”

A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Schneider received an MBA in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
