US Export-Import Bank is on site at DistribuTECH 2017

Those companies wanting to make worldwide deals this week at DistribuTECH Conference & Exhibition have a new, important potential partner joining them in San Diego.

For the first time, the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is on-site.

EXIM Bank is a federal government agency that offers financial and informational support for small business exporters. This support can include export credit insurance and working capital loan guarantees to help fulfill export sales.

The agency is at DistribuTECH to team up with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Buyer Program presence. The International Buyer Program offers on-site networking opportunities and export counseling and matches U.S. companies with potential international buyers.

The EXIM Bank offers export credit insurance, which allows companies to offer account credit terms upfront to foreign buyers while being protected against nonpayment. EXIM Regional Director Rob Guthrie is on hand at DistribuTECH this week to offer advice tailored to specific needs.

This year DistribuTECH is hosting to delegations from at least 13 nations, including Turkey, India, Austria, Angola, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Thailand, Mexico, Albania, Morocco, Philippines and Japan. DistribuTECH in 2016 had about 1,800 foreign attendees as part of the USDOC International Buyer Program.

EXIM’s Rob Guthrie can be contacted at 415-705-2280 for export counseling. The International Buyer Program meeting room is Room 33BC at the San Diego Convention Center.

Any exhibitor interested in learning more about EXIM or the International Buyer Program is urged to connect with them this week.
