U.S. natural gas prices continue to decline nationwide

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 5, 2001 – Average monthly natural gas spot prices for July fell 16.9% in the U.S. to $2.96/MBtu, as moderate weather continued to allow storage inventories to build, according to data released by Platts, the energy market information division of The McGraw-Hill Companies.

BOISE, Idaho, July 2, 2001 – Washington Group International, Inc. today announced that it has submitted detailed financial schedules and supporting documentation which demonstrate that Raytheon Company owes Washington Group $469 million pursuant to the purchase price adjustment clause of the stock purchase agreement under which Washington Group acquired Raytheon Engineers & Constructors (RE&C) in July 2000.
