UWIG organizes study on wind integration with utility systems

Arlington, Va., July 19, 2001 – Spurred by the increasing number of wind generation facilities in development across the United States, an industry group has organized a project to study the impact of wind generation on electric system operations.

BELLEVUE, Wash., July 19, 2001 – West-wide price controls on electricity implemented June 19 by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission threaten to prolong the energy crisis affecting the West, according to petitions filed today with FERC by utilities serving millions of customers.
