Ventyx appoints Jeff Ray CEO

Ventyx, an ABB company, has appointed Jeff Ray CEO. He will report to Jens Birgersson, head of ABB’s network management business unit. Ray brings to Ventyx more than 30 years of management experience in the global enterprise software industry.

“Jeff is a talented leader with a strong track record of driving business growth,” Birgersson said. “His proven performance and expertise in managing global software businesses make him the ideal person to lead Ventyx to the next phase of its growth and leadership in the emerging market for industrial enterprise software.”

Ray joins Ventyx from Dassault Systàƒ¨mes, a $2.4 billion software firm where he served as executive vice president of geographic operations and was a member of the firm’s executive committee. Prior, he served as CEO of SolidWorks, a global engineering software firm and division of Dassault Systàƒ¨mes.

Ray began his career at IBM, where he held sales and management positions for more than 17 years. He also held leadership positions at software companies such as Progress Software and Compuware Corp., where he demonstrated a consistent track record of revenue and customer growth.
