Veteran of GE, Southern Company joins Orcom as new president

Heyward comes to Orcom from GE, where he served as a business unit leader for GE Global eXchange Services. He started his career at the Southern Company, the nation௿½s largest investor-owned utility, where he held a variety of leadership posts at three of its subsidiaries.

Jan. 22, 2001–With California’s power troubles mounting, President George W. Bush Monday moved quickly to name avowed free market advocate Curtis L. Hebert Jr. chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, replacing William Massey, a last minute Clinton Administration appointee.
