Washington energy company to start real-time pricing project

TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 27, 2000 – Washington state’s energy market is not yet deregulated, but one energy company already has committed to providing real-time pricing information to some customers, under a new program to begin Nov. 1.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 27, 2000–The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved an application by International Transmission Co. (ITC), a subsidiary of DTE Energy, for innovative electric transmission rates. The rate proposal contains provisions that will help existing wholesale and open-access customers transition through a rate freeze period mandated by Michigan’s restructuring laws.
