Washington state regulators cap industrial firms’ electric rates

HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 24, 2001 (PRNewswire) — The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) voted today to defer judgment on GPU Energy’s request to collect more than $82 million in wholesale power costs from customers and to consolidate the request with the company’s application to merge with First Energy Corporation.
