Williams plans to develop power generation facility in Georgia

“This new facility will assist us in developing our growing portfolio of power agreements in Georgia. We recently announced full-requirements power agreement with several Georgia Electric Membership Corporations and this new facility will strategically fit our plan to expand our power portfolio in this market, as well as all of the southeast,” said Bill Hobbs, president of Williams energy marketing and trading unit.

AUSTIN, Texas, April 20, 2001 – In a dedication ceremony this morning, Cielo Wind Power, LLC and El Paso Electric flipped the switch to begin generation of wind power in El Paso. The Hueco Mountain Wind Ranchà¢â€ž- is the first wind power project in Texas on the Western grid.
