Xcel Energy North goes live with LiveData’s PersonalView(tm) server

PersonalView is the application-hosting environment for a centralized capacitor bank control application for the Upper Midwest portion of Xcel Energy North’s service territory.

CHICAGO, July 23, 2001 — By 9:00 a.m. Monday morning, approximately 350 ComEd and contractor crews working around the clock had restored power to 98 percent of the approximately 150,000 customers who lost power at some point during the weekend when severe storms hit northern Illinois. High winds, heavy rain, and lightning were the major causes of the interruptions.
