AES Panama

AES Panama won in the category of Environmental Sustainability for Energia Verde. This sustainable model of development, used during construction of the 223-MW Changuinola I project, exceeds the implementation of the Reforestation Plan required by the National Environmental Authority through an Environmental Impact Assessment. AES Panama committed to reforesting 800 hectares using seedlings produced by organized communities participating in a commercial and sustainable business relationship with AES.
