San Antonio, Texas-based municipal utility CPS Energy offers its customers the option of buying wind energy gathered from wind farms in West Texas. According to CPS Energy’s website, the company currently has access to more than 1 GW of wind energy capacity, including the Cottonwood Creek Wind Farm near Sweetwater and the Papalote Creek Wind Farm near Corpus Christi.
