9. Hanul Nuclear Power Plant, South Korea (6.157 GW)

Formerly known as Uljin, Hanul Nuclear Power Plant was renamed in 2013. Plant operator Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power broke ground on a pair of new APR-1400 nuclear reactors in 2012. The upgrade will cost about $6 billion, and is scheduled for completion in 2018.
