Oklahoma is where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plains, and OG&E has been in the wind energy business since 2003, when the Sooner State utility purchased wind power from the Sooner Wind Farm near Woodward, Oklahoma. The utility, which serves about 750,000 customers in Oklahoma and Arkansas, allows their customers to subscribe to 25, 50 or 100 percent wind power programs.
