8. Dominion Virginia Power, 250,364 MWh/year

Dominion Virginia Power is a unit of Dominion, which operates a portfolio of 27 GW in power generation assets, 3 percent of which is renewable energy. Starting June 20, 2013, Dominion Virginia Power is kicking off its Summer of Solar program, in which qualifying homeowners and businesses will generate and sell electricity and solar renewable energy certificates (RECs) directly to Dominion.
