Smart power management programs

Duke Energy’s Power Manager program allows volunteering customers to cut down on their air conditioner use during times of high demand. In return, customers get a one-time check (as much as $35) for signing up. After that, enrolled customers get a credit on their electric bill when Power Manager turns off the air conditioning.
