CLEAResult appoints McBee as new CEO

Energy efficiency firm CLEAResult has hired longtime industry executive Rich McBee as its new CEO.

The Austin, Texas-based company’s appointment of McBee will take effect July 6. He also will join the company’s board of directors.

CLEAResult is a provider of energy efficiency and demand response solutions for companies in the U.S. and Canada. It is owned by private equity fund TPG.

“I am delighted to be joining CLEAResult, the market leader in energy efficiency services,” said McBee. “The increasing complexity of the country’s electrical grid as it transitions to clean energy, coupled with the critical role of energy efficiency and strategic energy management in reducing carbon emissions, presents significant growth opportunities for CLEAResult in the coming years. I look forward to working with the impressive team to continue to drive innovation in the next generation of energy efficiency and demand response solutions.”

McBee comes to CLEAResult with more than 30 years experience on the energy front. Most recently he was CEO of Riverbed Technologies, and served in the top leadership roles at Mitel and Danaher Corp.

McBee succeeds Scott Boose, who stepped down as CEO of CLEAResult in April.
