Echelon, eMeter to integrate energy platforms

San Jose, Calif., October 1, 2012 — Echelon Corp. is partnering with eMeter to integrate the EnergyIP Platform with Echelon’s Control Operating System software.

This development provides utilities with mission critical operational and business insight to the complex relationships among devices, premises, customer accounts, users, applications, networks and services that must be managed in any smart grid.

Utilities worldwide depend on eMeter smart grid management software to bridge information technology and operational technology information to then optimize operational costs, innovation, improve customer service and drive energy efficiency. eMeter, a Siemens company, has strategic partnerships with Accenture, IBM, SAP and others.
