eMeter EnergyIP MDUS Bundle becomes SAP qualified

San Mateo, Calif., January 9, 2012 — eMeter, a global smart grid software platform provider and Siemens business, announced that its eMeter EnergyIP MDUS Bundle is now an SAP-qualified business solution.

The solution provides integration between the eMeter EnergyIP information platform and SAP for Utilities solutions, and provides the benefits of real-time energy usage information and enhanced metering services to utility customers around the globe.

This allows utilities to better leverage their investments in solutions from both eMeter and SAP AG.

Through integration with SAP for Utilities, the eMeter EnergyIP MDUS Bundle will deliver additional choices and flexibility for organizations running SAP software. Even more, the use of eMeter EnergyIP with SAP for Utilities will help utilities to scale to full production levels. In addition, eMeter successfully completed the integration between a Meter Data Usage System (MDUS) and the SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP for Utilities.

As an SAP-qualified business solution, the eMeter EnergyIP MDUS Bundle will provide utilities with a smart grid solution that offers integration with SAP AMI Integration for Utilities software. SAP-qualified business solutions are complementary to SAP software offerings and provide additional choices and flexibility for organizations running SAP software.
