GridWise Alliance announces new board

Washington, D.C., Jan. 27, 2009 — The GridWise Alliance, a coalition of 73 companies and organizations advocating for the development and deployment of a smart electricity grid, announced its new board of directors for 2009.

Individuals representing fifteen of the seventy-three GridWise Alliance member companies were recently elected by the membership to serve on the board of directors. Of these individuals, five are new to the board.

The new directors are Kerrick Johnson, vice president for External Affairs at VELCO; Mark Maddox, senior vice president of Arcadian Networks; Ralph Masiello, senior vice president of energy systems consulting at KEMA Inc.; Dan Reicher, director of climate change and energy initiatives at Google.org; and Ralph Zucker, director of smart grid development at BC Hydro.
